Location

Trellis Capital L3C is based in Providence, Rhode Island. Providence is the second largest metropolitan area in New England and know as the “Creative Capital” for its focus on education and the arts. Providence is also a fitting location for the combination of finance and impact. On the finance side, Providence was one of the first cities in the country to industrialize given its early focus on textiles. On the impact side, Providence was founded by Roger Williams after he was exiled from the Massachusetts Bay Colony for not conforming to strict Puritan laws. Roger Williams was an advocate for religious freedoms, a proponent for fair dealings with the Indigenous communities and an early abolitionist.
